Start loving yourself...

Love yourself.

Accept the fact that you're not perfect-to some people, but you are to God.

You are you, don't let anyone change you.

Somebody loves you. ( I do. Even if I don't know you.)

The people who hate you don't understand who you are. Let them be. They can't change you.
Love yourself. God (or whoever you believe in. I still don't judge you.) created you. He created all your flaws and imperfections but He still loves you.
Don't forget who you are.
When you're at your lowest and about to give up, someone will help you.

 Respect yourself.
Believe in yourself. Believe that you can stop cutting-I did.

You deserve all the love in the world, including yours.

I love you. Even if I don't know you. You deserve love. You deserve to be happy. I believe that you can stop cutting.

People are people. Let's help each other out. xx

Instead of cutting....

People see cutting a an outlet.

Instead of cutting, you could do anything you want like singing, dancing, drawing, listening to music, anything at all.

If you feel happy, then sing, dance or whatever.

If you feel sad, search for cute pics of  animals to make you happy.

If you feel frustrated or angry, scream or grab a stress ball and stomp on it ;

If you're lonely find a friend.

There are many ways to find an outlet for you.

cutting is never an answer.

If you feel that you can't find an outlet, talk to someone. Let them be your outlet.

Try doing the Butterfly project

The butterfly project is sort of an alternative for cutting.

Here is how you do it.

(I'm just repeating what the pic says)
The rules:
1. When you feel like you wan to cut, take a marker, a pen or sharpies and draw a butterfly on your arm or hand. (where you want to cut.)
2. Name the butterfly after a loved one or someone that really wants you to get better.
3. You MUST let the butterfly fade naturally. NO scrubbing it off.
4. If you cut before the butterfly is gone, you've killed it. If you don't cut, it lives.
5. If you have more than one butterfly, cutting kills all of them.
6. Another person may draw them on you. These butterflies are extra special. Take good care of them.
7. Even if you son't cut, feel free to draw a butterfly anyways to show your support. If you do this, name it after someone you know that cuts or is suffering right now and tell them. It could help.

It may seem like it's just a game for kids but it really  works sometimes. It worked for me. Here's mine. I named it after my friend who moved to another country.

I'm am ashamed that I cut but I am proud that I can stop. I am sure you can too. I believe in you.

How to stop cutting: Get rid of the bad thoughts

Think about it.

When you cut, do you ever think about the people you love?

Do you ever think of what they would feel when they see your cuts? How devastated they would feel?

Think about the person who inspires you, even if they don't know you. Do you think they would be happy if

they saw your legs, stomach or wrists?

I'm not giving you a guilt-trip or anything but seriously, I'm sorry to say this but stop being selfish and think about the people who care about you.

If you think that there aren't people who care. Go to the internet. There are some people who have the same problems, maybe you could help each other stop. Just stop okay? I'm here for you.

Why do people cut?

So.... Why do people cut?

We all  have problems. But some people can't handle the emotional pain. So they cut.

Why though? Based from experience, people cut because they think that physical pain is better than emotional pain.

When they cut, it feels like they're punishing themselves for the mistake they've done to receive the emotional/mental pain.

They cut because they're angry at themselves for not being perfect. They feel that that they will never be good  enough.

When people are bullied, the let the words that the bull says get to them so they cut. Sometimes when you hear people describing you as ugly, fat, slut (sorry for the term), loser and many more, you start to believe them.

They blame themselves for all the mistakes and problems. They think that they're not worth it. That no one will ever love them.

If we give a little love maybe we can change the world

Hello!  My name is Riva and I'm here to share about self-harm; how to stop it and how to love yourself.

So this is a project for a class. We were asked to make a blog. I chose this topic because, it's a kind of topic that needs to be taken seriously. I've been wanting to post a blog like this for a while and now is a great time to start. People need to understand how the people who cut feel and how they can stop it.
